World of Warcraft Guide – Farming Embersilk Cloth

With many items selling for ridiculous prices, one of these being Embersilk Cloth. I decided to make a post on the best places that I have found to farm them.

Tol Barad –

As cloth has the highest chance to drop from humanoid mobs this was the obvious choice. However there are not many mobs you can mass tag here, there aren’t many zones where you can mass tag, bar one bugged quest which can be pretty much exploited for cloth (I’ll mention this later). However, if you happen to find yourself idle and without a gathering profession then one of the first places you should go is here to farm Embersilk whilst the prices are still high.

Uldum –

There are plenty of Humanoid mobs here, most of which drop Embersilk, the two places that I can recommend are:

* The forecourt of the pre-phased Obelisk of the Moon, with many Schnottz Excavators and Schnottz Overseers which can be farmed.

* The sailors, on the boats south of Schnottz’s Landing, which you farm uniforms from for the quest The Great Escape from the Schnottz Sea Troopers, have a good chance to drop Embersilk. I have myself used this spot and the first time I was there questing was surprised by the amount of cloth that was dropping.

Vashj’ir –

There is a spot just south of The Ruins of Vashj’ir in the Shimmering Expanse, where there are a TON of Naga (Azsh’ir Infantry, Naz’jar Serpent Guard and Azsh’ir Abyss Priestess) which contrary to popular belief are Humanoid mobs. With the sheer mass of these Naga there should be no problem farming Embersilk here, even with competition. However there’s also the fact it happens to be in Vashj’ir *shudder*. Deepholm ‘exploit’ –

I wouldn’t recommend doing this however for the risk takers among us, there is a quest with endlessly spawning waves of “Twilight Invaders”, the quest I am speaking of is Undying Twilight. The Humanoid mobs here drop Embersilk, Greens and a few silver each, they are however phased and are only accessible whilst on the quest. There are also several Twilight camps here which may be good for farming Embersilk.
