World Of Warcraft Raid Dpsing
Dpsing really isn’t a hard thing to do if you think about. One of the easiest ways to get gear is join a guild who already have established people who really don’t need that extra dps, but they want a full raid group. So what happens when one by one those people start leaving? You have a bunch of guys who don’t really know what it’s like to be counted on to deliver that steady stream of damage. This is where things for the guild start to go wrong. They immediately will turn to the new guy and say “hey why is your damage so bad”. So today I have a few easy tips to show you how I always make sure my new character is going to be prepared to do that massive damage people look for.
Gems – This is where a lot of people start off on the wrong foot. First thing to realize is if you mostly do a lot of pvp and decided you wanna try some raids it’s not gonna be the same gems you’re putting in those sockets. If you walk into a raid and someone see’s you wearing resilience gems there not gonna take you seriously. Before you even begin to raid you should be deciding which ones our going be the best to constantly put out a steady stream of damage. Remember you won’t have to worry about that warrior trying to smash your face in while you take down a boss. If you think you need some kind of defensive gems to survive then you main tank isn’t doing their job, and I suggest you talk to them about that.
Gear – Sometimes you may think that the difference between that quest gear you got and dungeon loot really isn’t that big of a difference, but that could be further from the truth. If you’re doing a raid and you could be wearing a chest piece that gives you as little as ten more dps it makes a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. You have to remember your attack hundreds of times in the course of a raid that little bit of damage can really add up.
Know Your Class – It doesn’t matter if you have the best gear and put the right gems in every socket if you don’t know what you’re doing. Those people who go off someones gear score and not off of how well they know their class our gonna be in for a big surprised when they have a group full of people wearing epics but can’t get pass the second boss. Once again this is where dungeons come in the more you do the better you will be. Pvp is also a very good way to learn how to think on the fly and get to know your keybinings.
Those our just three ways to improve your dps and get into raid groups more often.
